I started to write frivolous articles as a distraction from my doctoral dissertation.  After spending hours per day writing something research-based that is seemingly endless and without reward, I felt great writing short opinion pieces that will not be judged.  My goal is to write at least an entry each week (I paid for years of web hosting up front - duh!).
